Random Sporting Event That Has Occupied My Mind: le Tour de France.

Ever since marrying Sarah, I’ve been a nut about this annual cycling event. And of course, I’ve been a total sucker for this year’s Lance vs. Contador drama. Though, by now, it looks like the Spaniard is by far the strongest and will win. Anyway, I’ve been able to follow le tour more closely this year thanks to a) Cable television, b) live internet streaming, and c) this site.

Biggest Display Of Social Networking Hypocrisy: My new Twitter account.

I know, I know…ironic considering my last post. I still think it’s a little ridiculous but I figured I may as well give it a try. Findings so far? Well, to be honest, the Tour de France tweets have been informative and helpful. Anyway, follow me…that is, if you’re in to that sort of thing.

Project At Work That Is Occupying Most Of My Time: On The Fly

We’re basically taking 5ish minutes BEFORE the service starts and producing a little “news-like” package that delivers announcements, welcome info and some fun. Right now I’m wearing the hat of producer, writer, director and host. Phew. We hope to launch it this fall, but in the meantime we’ve been working on some tests. I’ll probably post more about this in the future. Stay tuned.

Simple Things That Still Make Me Smile: My Wife, my dog and the fact that my sister now lives in Minneapolis.

I’ll end on that note.

I had some much needed time off last week. I purposely didn’t DO much, but for those playing at home, here were some highlights:

Saw the musical, Godspell, at my alma mater/former place of employment. I was in Godspell in high school. It sorta changed my life.

Spent two nights of solitude at the beautiful Wilderness Fellowship.

Read this book. Loved it.

Ate swordfish at this restaurant. Loved it.

Lounged around home with my wife and dog. LOVED IT.
