rough February 25, 2009

Posted by lastpicasso in video.

Some projects go super smoothly, start to finish. Others…not so much. We just recently completed a video for tonight’s Ash Wednesday service at all of our campuses. It’s a teaching video with a little narrative that weaves throughout. Long story short, it was probably too ambitious an idea for the amount of time we had. Throw in scheduling issues, script issues and 6 inches of snow between our two shoot days, and what we had was a rough go at it.

In the end, I think we have a nice piece that will accomplish what it is supposed to. In fact, I made the comment yesterday that it looks way better than it should. I guess that’s a good thing.

When we get through this week, I’ll find some time to post the finished product here. In the meantime, take a look at a rough cut of last year’s Ash Wedensday teaching video. (Side note: This weekend I’m heading to this beautiful wilderness you see in the video. Having a little solitude time. Ahhh…)
